Day 12 Seeley Lake MT to Swan Lake MT

Stats: 60 miles
Total mileage:697

Breakfast is the only way to get going. Pops opened at 6 AM and we had planned on being the first customers of the day. However, we slept until 5:50, so we were a little late. Breakfast was still delicious.

........and as it seems to work out, the quilt shop down the road from breakfast was closed!

After of miles of Montana rollers and the wind at our backs, we were rewarded with this spectacular view of the largest of the Mission Mountains.

Luckily we weren't going too fast to spy this caboose in the middle of someone's yard. There is always something interesting and unusual to see everywhere you go.

Just look at those mountains; enough said. XO

  1. Just sitting here in Jersey, looking at your fantastic pictures & thinking about my 'old days' as an over-the-road driver for North American Van Lines (1982-1986). I have great memories of those days, just as you are now creating amazing memories for yourselves. I know your trip is not easy, and even fairly difficult at times, but what a great book you will be able to write when it's all over!! You won't need that RR pension when you sign that lucrative book deal with Harper Collins!
Stay healthy (& upright), and watch out for those bears and cabeese....... (Paul will understand that last reference)
    Happy trails,
    Chris in Jersey

  2. I'm on Martha's Vineyard and we met your friend Barbara in the quilt shop here. She told us all about your trip, so I had to come see your blog. Excellent pictures, looks like lots of fun !
